New Observers Star Party - CANCELLED due to weather
Are you new to observing? Do you have a telescope but don’t know where to start? Planning to attend RCA events or OSP this summer and want to know how star parties work? This spring, RCA is hosting two New Observers Star Parties to help RCA members become more comfortable with observing the night sky. Come meet fellow beginners and ask mentors questions about how telescopes work, how to find constellations in the sky, and how to point a telescope for a closer look at deep-sky objects.
This star party is ideal for members who have a telescope or binoculars but would like to become more comfortable observing the night sky. Even if you don’t have a telescope, feel free to join us as you can still learn about star party etiquette and look around to see the various types available. You can also check out a telescope from the telescope library.
